There are two ways to install TakeStock 2:


  • Standard installation

A standard installation stores the program and its data on your computer's hard disk.  Most users will choose this type of installation.


  • Portable installation

A portable installation stores the program and its data on a portable disk (e.g. a USB stick).  No program files or data are stored on your computer's hard disk.  This allows you to run TakeStock 2 on any Windows computer that can connect to the portable disk.



 Standard installation


To perform a standard installation:


    1. Visit http://ravib.com/takestock/2/download.htm.
    2. Click the link to download and run the TakeStock 2 installer TakeStock2.msi.
    3. Follow the instructions displayed by the installer.


To run TakeStock 2:


Click Start | Programs | TakeStock 2 | TakeStock 2.


To uninstall a standard installation:


    1. Click Start | Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features.
    2. Select "TakeStock 2" from the list of programs and then click Uninstall.



 Portable installation


To perform a portable installation:


    1. Visit http://ravib.com/takestock/2/download.htm.
    2. Click the link to download the TakeStock 2 .zip archive TakeStock2Portable.zip.
    3. Extract the contents of the archive to a folder to which you have write access (e.g. D:\TakeStock2).


To run TakeStock 2 Portable:


Double-click the file TakeStock2.exe in the installation folder (e.g. D:\TakeStock2).


To uninstall a portable installation:


Delete the installation folder (e.g. D:\TakeStock2).
