Michael DeSa

After Campion I went to Elphinstone College and when given the opportunity, joined Wallem Ship Management Ltd. (Hong Kong) as a direct cadet. I progressed from Cadet to Master and studied in Cork, Ireland to complete my Mates & Masters.  I changed companies and did a trip as Master with World Tankers Ltd, Singapore and thereafter with Tanker Pacific (S) Ship Management Ltd, Singapore. I got married to Vinita in 1993 and we have three sons - Mark, Matthew and Martin.  We immigrated to Australia in January 2000.  After working in Karratha, Darwin & Perth as a Marine Surveyor, I finally got a job with Oilsearch (PNG) Ltd., as a Mooring Master in 2003.  I took over as the Marine Superintendent of Kumul Marine Terminal in July 2005. My family is now based in Perth and we enjoy the lifestyle of the most isolated capital city in the world.
