To change how TakeStock 2 retrieves data about securities:


    1. Select the Tools | Options | Data Providers menu command.  The Data Providers Options window appears.



    2. Here you can select:

      • The default data provider - i.e. one of Yahoo Finance, TakeStock Canada Mutual Funds, MoneyControl (India), Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) or Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).  It is recommended that you use the option Automatically select provider, which causes TakeStock 2 to choose the appropriate provider based on the security's symbol.

      • The data provider connection lifetime (in minutes).  The default value is 60 minutes, but you can choose a shorter lifetime if you find the provider fails to refresh its prices.

      • Whether provider data should be saved in order to aid debugging.

      • How TakeStock 2 should determine the web site to navigate to when you request a symbol's security information.


    1. Select the options you want and click OK to apply them.
