Positions that have the same symbol can be grouped into a single row.

The following example shows a portfolio containing 3 positions of the same security "C".

To collapse these positions into a single row, select any of the positions and do one of the following:

  • Click the Group toolbar button.
  • Select the Edit | Group menu item.
  • Type Ctrl + G.

This will combine all positions of security "C" into a single row which is identified by a special icon.

To expand a grouped position, select it and do one of the following:

  • Click the Ungroup toolbar button.
  • Select the Edit | Ungroup menu item.
  • Type Ctrl + U.

Note:

Grouping similar positions doesn't alter the portfolio's contents.  The portfolio continues to contain the individual positions.  Grouping simply displays similar positions in a single row for convenience.
